The reason why I hate Apple products is because I have such bad luck with them. Their customer service is great, so that’s why I keep buying.
Last week, all of the sudden, my iPhone screen went dead. I had it for just a year. I went to the Apple Store, and it was replaced free of charge.
I’ve had a MacBook before, which I had issues with as well. Hopefully my iPad will not die either.
As I get older, I have gained a taste for things like caviar. I enjoy it a lot. But the TommyThamat side of me will do strange things like eat salmon roe with mini corn dogs or bologna… only I would eat such an odd combination, but I like what I like. I am not trying to impress anyone.
Sometimes I go to fancy restaurants and desire something odd like chicken fingers with foie gras and truffles.
At any rate, yes, I have unorthodox food tastes, but hey, who am I trying to impress? No one. I eat what I want and I don’t care who knows it.
Welcome to my world.

If one is brainwashed from birth to believe that Kim Jong-Il is the son of god, I suppose that if Jesus died in my lifetime, I would be as hysterical as well.
This is blasphemous, I know, but it is truly something to think about: Aren’t we all brainwashed to believe in God from birth? Jesus was the son of God, and he died.
Also, the leader of North Korea was a father figure to all of the country, and I might cry a lot if my dad died suddenly too; especially if everyone else was going nuts around me.
I do believe, however, that this is a bit much. I makes me wonder why a lot of people are “crying” without any tears.
Please keep in mind that people in the East grieve differently from people in the West. For instance, I had a cousin’s husband physically pass-out in the church from crying and hyperventilating at my grandmother’s funeral and he needed to be removed from the church. He wasn’t even blood-related to us.
While people in the West suppress their grief in public, people in the East do not. It must be a cultural thing.

My favorite international figure, Kim Jong Il, is dead. According to the KCNA news agency, he died “from a great mental and physical strain”, which led to a heart attack.
Dear Leader, why must you leave us so soon?
Kim Jong-Il will live forever in our hearts! He was 69 years old.

People ask me, “Tommy, why don’t you have a Facebook page?”
It’s because I am not that self-centered or am not too stupid to know how to make my own website.
I don’t want to sit there and post ‘status updates’ like people actually need to know what I am doing every minute of the day. Really, no one cares about what you stupid idiots are having for lunch today, or if standing in line to get your Starbucks was excruciating because of a crying baby in front of you.
I am also not interested in adding 3,000 people I don’t even know to my friends list, nor do I feel like acting like I care about their life problems.
I have enough issues to deal with on my own, let alone getting stressed-out about other people’s issues.
So here is the bottom line: to the Facebookers of the world who are posting photos of yourselves being a douchebag idiot, please quit it.
You are not that important, you are not God’s gift to the world, and people don’t care to see a photo of you having beers with some other idiots.
Get over yourselves! It sickens me that live in a world with so many narcissistic megalomaniacs!
And that’s Tommy’s Word.

Recently, my nieces and nephews visited my parents and my niece Natalie, who’s going to be a sixth grader, was very excited…. She had found our old Nintendo NES. (Super Mario Bros., Duck Hunter, Track & Field) The controllers were nowhere to be found, so I told her if she really wanted it, I was sure I could find it online.
I was glad that a kid with a PS4, Wii, Gameboy and iPhone would be so excited about such an old gaming system. I remember all the good times my brother and I had with the NES growing up. My favorite all-time game is still the original Super Mario Brothers.
I gave it a once-over, and it turned-out that a few more parts were missing as well. It turned out to be cheaper to purchase a whole “new” system instead. Since they don’t make them anymore, it was a refurbished unit.
They grow up so fast!

My family and I recently visited Canada to visit my aunt, who lives near Niagara Falls in St. Catherines, Ontario.
Born and raised in small-town Iowa and now living in the suburban Midwest, he now calls the Twin Cities area of Minneapolis and Saint Paul home.
His interests include traveling, family-oriented adventures and spending quality time with loved ones.
